The NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery is a non-collecting academic museum. We present curated exhibitions of art and culture across historical and contemporary topics, with a special emphasis on subjects of both regional concern and international significance. Its curatorial platform supports scholarly and experimental installations, artists’ projects, guest curators, and landmark exhibitions.

The exhibitions will explore three core thematic areas: “The Environment: Built and Natural,” “Arabic and Islamic Art and Culture”; and “Art in Global Dialogue.” Each area is of particular relevance to NYUAD and its role in the UAE.

Some of these exhibitions are co-curated with our faculty, or by esteemed guest curators. It is our hope that the gallery will serve as a catalyst and locus of intellectual and creative activity, linking the university with the Abu Dhabi public and a worldwide community of artists, curators, and scholars.
