Join us for the opening reception for David Darts: Discomfort. In this series of new works, David Darts explores and playfully confronts uncomfortable-ness.
Darts is an artist, designer and a faculty member in the NYU Art Department. He uses sculpture and designed objects to provide spaces for critical reflection and social critique.
Learn more about David Darts: Discomfort which runs concurrently with Putting for Pleasure and Politics a playable mini golf course and sculpture garden, made with invited artists and curated by David Darts, on view in the ArtsCenter Plaza November 12th through 24th.
Presented in a series of new installations, these artists explore the very concept of environment - natural, artificial, virtual - and share a distinctly arch, speculative, conceptual practice, extrapolating imagined worlds within existing ones.
"Moments in Their Time..." offers a small glimpse into concepts, methods and styles our faculty artists continue to explore in larger scale projects, locally and internationally.
The NYUAD Art Gallery presents "The Sovereign Forest" in a groundbreaking collaboration with Ishara Art Foundation which hosts Kanwar’s solo project "Such a Morning" from January 20 – May 20, 2020.
