Linda Adele Goodine
The Baler, 2005-2008, from the Gibson Lemon Series
48×70.5 inches, photographic print on textile
Join us on Sunday, March 10th at 5:30pm in the Project Space for the opening reception for Crossing and Corridors: Saba Qizilbash and Linda Adele Goodine.
Curated by Flounder Lee, artist, curator and associate professor of Studio Art at American University of Dubai.
“I chose these two amazing artists as much for their differences as their similarities,” says curator Lee. “Qizilbash creates intricate graphite drawings and Goodine creates giant colorful photographs. Both, though, work with themes such as harsh socio-political realities.”
The artists and curator will be present for this event.
Open to the public
Presented in a series of new installations, these artists explore the very concept of environment - natural, artificial, virtual - and share a distinctly arch, speculative, conceptual practice, extrapolating imagined worlds within existing ones.
"Moments in Their Time..." offers a small glimpse into concepts, methods and styles our faculty artists continue to explore in larger scale projects, locally and internationally.
“The Sovereign Forest” is an ongoing multimedia installation that is a creative response to crime, politics, human rights, and ecological crisis.
