Opening Reception
Being Borrowed
On Egyptian Migration to the Gulf
Join us for the opening of Being Borrowed: On Egyptian Migration to the Gulf, at the Project Space. This exhibition is the result of an interdisciplinary and transnational collaboration.
Being Borrowed: On Egyptian Migration to the Gulf is an exhibition which was first presented in Cairo in 2022 and curated by Farah Hallaba, Farida Youssef, and Ali Zaaray, featuring twenty-one Egyptian artists. By bringing this exhibition to Abu Dhabi, the curators aim to reflect on the new meanings taken by the artworks and narratives in this context – that of the host, rather than the home, country.
