Project Space Exhibition Program

In this lecture, Hamkari will share information on the Circassian identity and the history of the contemporary Circassian jegu, as well as reflecting on the role of dance and movement today in preserving Circassian culture in diasporas around the world, focusing on Jordan and New Jersey. Hamkari will also share her own experience and relationship with fostering cultural unity and resilience as a way to bring North Caucasians together in Abu Dhabi, her home today.
