How To Return as if You Never Left: On Writing Homeward Narratives in Diaspora and in Memory
Project Space Exhibition Program
Yesmine Abida will share a selection of her writings as part of the collection titled “return as if you never left,” which is a reflection on her experiences thinking about home, nostalgia, memory, and belonging as a young woman from Tunisia, raised in the UAE and currently living in the UK. The workshop will include time to read Abida’s writings and hear about her experiences and writing process. The second part of the workshop will be a writing session for the participants to respond to prompts by Abida; the participants can choose to share what they have written and discuss as a group at the end.
To register, please send an email to yesmine.abida@gmail.com with a short response to “how do you carry home with you?”
